Software Bros ("Software Bros", "we", "us" or "our") operates PDF Scanner AI (the "App"). We respect your privacy and designed PDF Scanner AI to process core document-scanning functions on your device wherever technically possible. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App may process, how it is used, and your choices.
PDF Scanner AI allows you to scan, import, edit and create documents. Documents, scanned images, PDFs, annotations and signatures are primarily stored locally on your device for the core functionality of the App. We do not use your documents for advertising. We do not sell your documents or extracted document content.
The App may use Apple's on-device text recognition technologies to extract text from scanned documents. Where OCR is performed on-device, the recognised text remains on your device unless you explicitly use a future feature that requires transmission of information outside the device.
The App requires camera access when you choose to scan a document. Camera access is used to capture documents and is not used for unrelated purposes.
If you choose to import documents or images, the App accesses only the content necessary to perform the requested operation.
If you enable document protection, the App may use Apple's Face ID or Touch ID authentication framework to verify that you are authorised to access protected content. PDF Scanner AI does not receive or store your Face ID or Touch ID biometric data.
If the final version of the App uses an anonymous installation identifier for technical purposes, this identifier is not intended to directly identify you. Any such identifier will be used only for purposes disclosed in the App's privacy disclosures.
Subject to the final implementation and any features subsequently introduced, PDF Scanner AI does not require you to create an account for its core scanning functionality. We do not intentionally collect:
We do not sell personal information. We do not share document contents with advertisers. If a future feature requires information to be transmitted to an external service, we will provide appropriate disclosure before that feature is used and update this Privacy Policy where required.
PDF Scanner AI primarily relies on Apple's system frameworks and services. If third-party services are introduced in future versions, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the relevant services and information practices.
If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details. Subscription information is handled through Apple's StoreKit and App Store infrastructure.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information processed by the App. No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Documents and files created or imported by you remain on your device according to your use of the App. Deleting a document through the App may remove the associated local files, subject to operating-system storage behaviour and backup mechanisms. Temporary processing files are intended to be removed when no longer required.
PDF Scanner AI is not specifically directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling.
You can control access to Camera, Photos, Contacts (if used), and Notifications (if used) through Apple's device settings. You can also delete documents stored by the App using the App's document-management functions.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our services or applicable requirements change. The "Last updated" date will indicate when this policy was most recently revised.
